Sprint 2 Presentation

Last Friday we had our Sprint 2 presentation. We had to explain what we’ve done since the last sprint, demo how Blend currently looks and show what we intend to have done by the next sprint presentation in mid November.

We had Blend on our iPads as demos, but we also showed this video of a walkthrough through the main functions:

And here is a super exciting, simple Gantt chart to illustrate our plan for the next 4 weeks:

We’ll be getting some feedback on the presentation from our supervisor, Charlie, sometime this week.

  1. This looks great! It looks like you guys are making progress… how was it received were people Oooo-ing and Ahhhh-ing? I know for sure that I’m going to get it if I can when you release it. Also on week three and four you have on your Gantt chart “Dynamic Areas” what is that?? Keep up the great work guys!

  2. Hi Jessica!

Glad to see you are following the blog šŸ™‚ And thank you! Apologies for the delayed response. Alas not quite ooh and ah-ing but certainly feedback in general was positive and we also got lots of advice on what we need to work on in the next few weeks, still a *lot* to do before our December deadline!

‘Dynamic areas’ is just a term we’re using for an interactive bit we’re planning on including in the recipe pages. So it’ll give the user a bit more background info/interesting facts, that kind of thing. Just a nice bit of extra info for anyone who’s interested, but not vital to complete the recipe.

We will announce here when the app is being released but hopefully early next year! If not I’m sure we can sort you out with a copy anyway šŸ™‚

I’ve started following your blog, a good read! Liking the cake and code combo šŸ˜‰ I was just reading the post about Leo learning to code – really interesting story.
